H2D Firmware V01.03.00.00 and later?

Bambu Handy v3.14.0’s release notes mention features coming to H2D FW 01.03.00.00 and later.

  • Filament remote drying
  • Printing while drying
  • Improvements to the TPU printing experience
  • ‘among other enhancements’

Unless I missed it there’s not even a beta of an H2D firmware right now. I still see V01.02.01.00 as the most recent beta.

Sure… of course. It’s a bit odd to start learning of features through Bambu Handy release notes. I ran here hoping to find something official, even if just a teaser, since BH started talking about them.

There have been more than a few times of coming features being noted in Studio releases.
Usually Studio will be updated (and it may be) with the features when those features are released.

Studio and Handy both reference different versions of Firmware too - so not sure how “Close” they are - but I agree generally it is firmware → software - this time it is software → firmware

Kind of unrelated to the current post, but that’s cool about the bird’s eye camera working for other applications. Know if this will be for 3D printing as well? Do you have a source on this?

I’m actually seeing the version number as 01.02.30.00. Waiting for it to drop too.

Just keep in mind folks, you could be waiting a little bit.

The release update was for sure confusing about the availability of the FW. If only they would’ve added a statement … “Will be released Friday™”

Bambu Handy and Bambu Studio seem to disagree with each other. Here’s what Bambu Handy showed earlier today.

When are us LAN mode users getting any of the recent firmware updates?
All I see available is an August release of 01.02.00.00

The difference comes from the final release number of the Firmware update for H2D, and the beta version which should be available this week.

The team is working on preparing the H2D beta and will be released later today, or tomorrow.
As soon as it’s available, I will share a new post with all the new features coming for H2D. :+1:

And when will the version for H2S be… it’s the only machine in this series that Bambu has forgotten about? The last firmware is from 08.2025 :frowning:

Everywhere (Handy and Studio 2.5.0) the changes and new features for H2D and H2C are listed… for example, in the description of remote drying capabilities, there’s info about the firmware for H2D… and H2S?

Can you focus on fixing the breaking bug that you introduced in the new Bambu studio? My machine is useless and I wasted about half a kilo abs-gf , not to mention that the crash caused by the bug might have left hardware kinks/damage. And I can’t even continue my work because I can’t use it!

If you have experienced problems due to the update, please open a ticket and share more detail about what happened + the log files of your printer.

Our Customer Support team can provide assistance.

If the current version of Studio does not work for you, it is recommended to downgrade to the previous version which should solve the problem.

That’s reassuring, lol. Seriously though, thanks for the clarification. I haven’t opened Handy since they pushed the update.

You’ll share the post and so will 50 others…
