Something weird happened today after I started a print on my H2D. Last night before going to bed I sent a file over from Studio to the USB so that I could start it in the morning when leaving the house.
After some time I checked the app to see the progress but I saw it was still at layer 2 and the live view feed didn’t seem to work (was a “frozen” view). Wasn’t too worried, perhaps some issue with connecting to the server. Came back home and guess what? It did actually freeze at layer 2 for some reason. As of now I have no clue what caused it.
Went through the recordings and to my surprise the toolhead was actually still moving, albeit extremely slow. This timelapse spans 4 hours, but look how slow it moves:
This exact issue occurred on my old, reliable X1 Carbon. In that case, it was caused by a faulty model. I re-sliced it, and everything worked as expected.
That’s wild, the video looks like it going at 2015 printer speeds (if you ignore the fact that it was over 4 hours). If you haven’t already, can you slice a different model (like a cube) and try to print that with the stock 0.2mm profile, all defaults? Also if you still have it, can you upload the .3MF file for the slow print?
Whomever gave you that file probably thought it was funny to set speed close to zero on those fins. You can see it in the slicer speed vis. You have the actual STL / or raw model?
