I don’t have my H2D yet as I ordered the 40W laser combo, but yes, I use it for my A1 and tested it yesterday by unplugging it during a print to get a screenshot of the time remaining. At peak load it would last over 3.5 hours, but the A1 is rarely at peak load so I could probably expect 5 hours of print time if I lost power. It has a 20ms switchover time
I see reddit posts that the Anker F1500, which is a similar spec, does not successfully switch over some microprocessor controlled devices. Speculation is the lack of AVR that’s in UPS for computers.
I’m pretty confident that the H2D will handle <20ms fine, I doubt they’re using cheap caps. I’ll test to make sure when I get mine later this month by unplugging while the bed is heating, but so far this thing has been a champ and has saved 2 prints during minutes-long outages
Does the A1 not attempt recovery after a power loss?
It was printing PLA and lost power for over 5 minutes, I feel like the bed would have cooled down in that time and possibly caused a layer shift. It may have been fine after a power loss recovery but personally I don’t like to chance it, especially with how PLA likes to pop off the build plate when cool
I have that same issue. So far it only occurs when printing with PET G. I check the nozzle and no clumping. After that, it just prints to completion, no issues. Also, Bambu Studio can’t read my filament setup. I hit the sync icon and get incorrect filament placement and color.
