H2D left extruder sensor malfunction

I got the dreaded “Hotend is not heating anymore, there may be an open cable/sensor malfunction” problem. So i disassmble the piece, and yes, there seems to be an open/disconnected cable. Can anyone here tell me that my assumption is correct that loose cable goes to the place I am pointing to?

Use a multimeter to perform an ohms test on the heater coil to check if the coil is open.
