Already fixed this, but though i’d share this with you just in case this ends up being more of a common issue, and not a freak incidence.

so the symptoms first:
left side cutter stopepd cutting. AMS did manage to retract the filament occasionally, but it basically pulled it out of the hotend since it was not cut.
This caused the filament to get stuck at changes, and some more interesting feeding errors.
cause: the spring loaded moving part, in which the filament cutter resides, was stuck. there was a small piece of filament that had gotten between the plastic part and the metallic filamet feeding tube.
easily fixed, but took a while before i realized that the part was stuck.
Remove the extruder cover, filament levers and the plate that houses the left filament cutter “elevator” … then clean any debris from the parts.

I’m glad to find your post. I have struggling with my printer for the last days.
Support answer was to clear the blockage and open the door, because of estival temperature.
I thought is was that the cutter needed to be changed. I bought 3 blades, and changed it for nothing.
After many trials, cold declogging so many times I lost count, I was back to the same symptoms.
I still have one question : does the black part move easily ? Does it come back if you push it up a few millimeters ? Mine doesn’t.

I had a larger corkscrew than that on my H2D when that part got stuck in its upper position
They really should have designed it to prevent filament debris from collecting inside.
My problem actually started a little before the great filament escape
I didn’t realize the left nozzle couldn’t cut the filament properly and instead ended up tearing it off.
As already mentioned, the black part must move freely—if it doesn’t, you’ll run into issues not only with filament cutting but eventually with filament escaping from the nozzle as well.
Thanks for your quick reply. I could not found any debris. I removed the screw holding the moving part in place. A dark-colored piece of debris had taken the shape of the axle. Once removed, the moving part slides out without difficulty.
I’ve also had filament come out the front, ruining hours of multi-color printing on several occasions. The left extruder was connected to an AMS PRO2.
A clue to quickly spot this problem is that you can determine the position of the moving part by the screw that prevents it from coming out. If it’s always at the top, there’s a problem.
