Bambu PPS is expensive but you can get other brands for a lot less.

I use PETG for a lot of stuff around the garage or shop without issue that is not heat sensitive. Iâm made various funnels out of PETG that hold up fine with gasoline and oils. Anything heat sensitive I would look at some nylons or PPS. PPS (Bambu/Polymaker, havenât checked others) also has a great benefit as it is UL94-V0 flame resistant rated. I havenât tested that yet on PPS but I have on PC FR. The bambu PC FR I have tested with a Mapp gas torch(2927*C). It will catch fire (have a small flame on top), but will self extinguish immediately upon removing the torch.
For this reason I print all my internal 3d printer parts and dryer parts out of PC FR(cheaper) or PPS(a few on my blast dryer).
Itâs here to put those ghostly chills into you itâs the Frostbite for the H2D in beautiful blue! Delivered next day on a Sunday from Amazon $60
Thatâs awesome! Congrats! What build plate did you choose in the slicer?
My Kdeavi plate should be arriving in the coming days. So far been trying the Fsyetc plate and that one has been holding up very well.
I used the textured pei plate with the Frostbite because on my P1S with the cold Supertac plate I also used the textured pei plate setting. I do that because I found my second Supertac plate doesnât stick well without at least 55c. With 60c everything sticks to it.
Very nice! I just looked and theyâre out of stock now lol. Next ship date is June 28 - July 16.
I think Iâm gonna hold out for the Darkmoon ice plate and just use my Kdeavi plate for now.
Welp on another test of some 1/12 scale gas nozzles the H2D alerted me to spaghetti and I found the nozzles has detached from the plate at the very end. Too bad because they were coming out so nice. This woulda never happened on the Supertac. Iâm going to wash the plate and try again.
Wash it is hot-ish water. Hot enough to make you say âooo thatâs hotâ but not hot enough to where you need to pull your hands away. This is what I do for all my polyurea plates and it basically rejuvenates the coating. Just a tad bit of dawn and make sure itâs all rinsed off thoroughly. Dab it dry, donât wipe, with good paper towels (not those dry stale dusty ones lol).
Ok thanks. Will do and report back
Oh wow⌠I literally never had a failed print on a polyura plate, even tall ones with tiny contact area and no brim, very strange. I have not ever cleaned my polyura plates.
Do you have a video? Can you see what happened?
This one might have failed because of the overhang. Overhang warped upwards and the nozzle keeps pressing it downwards, this the failure.
