H2D Part cooling fan error

Can anyone help with an error im seeing with my H2D?

When printing, I’m getting messages in Bambu Studio and on the H2D display reporting that the fan speed is too slow or has stopped.

I assume the part cooling fan is the one on the back of the extruder, its running according to my finger end when I stuck it in there.

Also, in Bambu studio, it shows that the part cooling fan is toggled off. Toggling it on makes no difference but if I toggle it off again, I can hear that the fan stops and restarts a few seconds later.

Any advice would be great.

Same thing happens with my P1S if the fan connector is not properly plugged in. I would recheck the connections.

Thanks, I’ll give that a go

I’m still seeing the same error. I’m currently dealing with Bambu support to resolve the issue.

For anyone else with similar issues, the part cooling fan has been replaced and the issue is fixed.

Hi there @fowler897,

I just received my H2D and I’m encountering the same issue. I even tried reseating the connector with no luck.

How did you manage to get a replacement fan?

Thanks, I just opened a ticket. It’s really unfortunate that I have to go through this in day 1!

You’re welcome! Yeah, it’s a bummer when new stuff has issues but the good news the 3D printer comes with a warranty.

They must have a bad batch

Heu @cerahmed

yeah raise a support ticket, I sent the a couple of videos showing the fan working and of how it was running at full speed regardless of what I did with the speed settings. Process took just over a week before the replacement was delivered.

Good luck!

Thanks man. I’ve already raised a ticket and still didn’t get any reponse. It seems it will indeed take some time for the issue to get resolved.
I’m planning to purchase a replacement myself, but couldn’t find it in the spare parts in the store.

Hello,
Since this afternoon, the same problem has appeared for no apparent reason after 80 hours of printing. I’ve opened a ticket.
I’m waiting for their response and will keep you posted.

Hi, same here. Sometimes it powers up at full speed, but restarting the printer would return it to normal. Now it’s stopped working completely.

See that this is an old thread but wanted to chime in. Having issues with both Part and Hotend cooling fans. Replaced part fan and TH board but hasnt resolved issue. waiting for hotend cooling fan.
Machine was less than a month old before hardware started failing and Bambu support has not been helpful unfortunately.

Sililar issues here. I have now replaced the Th board (supplied by bambu) and the hotend fan module (supplied by me).
I still have the hotend fan fault.
In addition, during all the assembly and disassembly the tool head camera ribbon cable is now torn.

Any ideas on what to do next?

I received and installed a new H2D and had this error out of the box. Not great for a new machine delivered first week of 2026. I will discuss with Support and keep you updated.

Just curious on the outcome? Just got this error after a long ABS print that heated the chamber to 65. Had no issues before doing PLA only. Printer only 26hrs, got it less than a month ago.
