Anyone know when they will be selling these as a kit, not interested in laser module
I’m only interested in the cutter.
I hope there will be a cutter-only upgrade kit alongside the laser upgrade kit.
Consists of:
- Cutting module (with pen holder)
- Cutting platform
- Birds-Eye
I am also interested in separate cutter tool.
Someone posted earlier that they spoke with a sales rep and they said they were going to release a cutter package in a few months.
It will be very interesting to see what the community comes up with for printable “tool” attachments for the H2D.
I recently got the xTool hot foil pen and I must say it works really well. Properly transfers the material into whatever you want.
Same here, really curious to see how the H2D ecosystem will look like in some months/years.
I’ve had a hot foil pen for my Brother Scan&Cut for about two years now. Works great IF you use the correct foil. Some of the foils require more heat or slower writing. I’ve only used mine on card stock. That’s all I can get through the platens. Wonder how it would work on wood.
My pens (S, M & L tips) are externally USB powered. I typically use a 10k power brick laying on top of the printer.
Just in case anyone at Bambu is keeping track, i’d also love the Plotter + Cutter combo. Not interested in dealing with the hassle of the laser at all.
110% interested in plotter and cutting modules being available without the need for laser!
I am curious as to the capabilities of the accessory connector on the head. And if it will be possible for third party attachments in the future. You could always power things from outside the printer and control the head but at the moment that seems very much like something bambu does not want us to do.
Also not interested in the laser but am interested in the plotter/cutter being offered separately. Interested in how they price it. You can get a very solid standalone Cricket unit for $300. I would be interested at about the $75 to $100 mark
Hi saw this information online from a supported retailer.
Cutter Module approx. 79,00€ avaliable approx. 15.06.25
There is also the 10W (449€)laser and 40W laser (994€).
On the page from Igo3D - .com
Thanks for the info, looking forward to it’s release
Will a plotter/cutter upgrafe be available for the normal Combo be available?
I don’t need a laser and just to have some heat transfer item cut in a while I see this as
very nice extension for the 3D printer.
If a kit is not available, you should be able to purchase the individual components (cutting module, cutting platform, cutting mats, blade holder, blades, pen holder). Everything is available but the cutting module, it’s not available in bambu store yet but the price for it was seen on some EU vendor sites at €79. Total with those individual parts should then be ~ €160.
I don’t think you need the birds-eye camera for the cutter but just for the laser. If not, the camera is not on the store any longer but it was priced at €50 when it was.
From what I understand the birds-eye camera is also used with the cutting module for placement. Probably could be used without it but much better with it. I still see it on their US website under Spare Parts, Camera for $49 US.
Is there any new information or rumors about the release date? Has the 15.06. perhaps already been confirmed somewhere? I’m really looking forward to the cutting module. I’m not interested in the laser at all. Bambu should bring out its own device here. I think that would make more sense and be more popular.
Where did you see 15/06? I’m also very excited for it. I really hope they release it this month. The anniversary would be a great date to release it.
A poster above posted what it said on a reseller’s page. That is the date the reseller said the cutter would be made available.
