Just curious what other people’s experience has been calibrating pressure advance on the H2D. (For anyone that doesn’t have theirs yet, the printer stores PA calibrations by hot end side, HF vs standard, and of course by diameter)
I was just running a few of these trying to gauge how accurate the automatic calibration is and a get a general feel for differences between each hotend, if any. I tested the same filament with manual and auto calibration, on the left and right hot end with standard and high flow.
My preliminary result has been that I get very similar numbers between left and right hotends and also between high flow and standard. The auto calibration has more variation, but generally stays in the ‘good zone’.
For this specific filament at least, copying a single result to the other hotend or to the high flow hot end of the same diameter would have have been fine and more precise than the auto calibration.
I don’t expect this to always be the case, and of course there are other variables such as temperature. I plan to play around with it a bit more as I have time. But as I said, I am curious if others have experimented much with these calibartions.
