H2D Pro hot end cooling fan instead of H2D hot end cooling fan?

If the hotend cooling fan fails on the h2d can the new enhanced hot end cooling fan from the h2d pro be used instead of replacing the failed original fan? I know it will be compatible but am hoping it will replace the other hot end cooling fan. Assuming q4 availability with relevant firmware additions to support it. Because replacing the original fan does not look like fun.

I’m not asking if it is compatible. I’m asking if it can replace the internal hotend cooling fan in the H2D. It is unclear whether or not the H2D pro also has the internal hotend cooling fan like the H2D.

it’s 100% also having the same internal hotend cooling fan. The new fan isn’t nearly as effective as the internal one.

Yeah and this seems to confirm that. Very unfortunate. I was hoping it would be a workaround to having to tear the hotend apart to replace the internal hotend cooling fan. I’m not looking forward to having to do that twice on both of my H2D’s :frowning:
