H2D Pro upgrade from H2D

So, what will it take to upgrade the standard H2D to the new Pro version?

Sell your H2D and buy the pro lol. There really isn’t any benefit, from what I can tell, unless you need the Ethernet port and added security.

All I see is tungsten carbide nozzles. That’s nice, but those are removables anyway unless they somehow refuse to sell those separately unless you are a certified :tm: business customer.

Other than that, just some boilerplate business network security.

have no need for it, but damn it looks good in that colour

Also this, a new hot end aux cooling fan, but 3c is nothing special though.

We suggest everyone reading the FAQ for more details. :grinning:

Well, thank you for sharing. Is there an official release date for the updated cooling part which you can install from the H2D Pro onto the regular H2d ?

Is called: H2D Toolhead Enhanced Cooling Fan

Looks like it will be sold separately and easy to install as it just plugs into the aux laser port:

“Yes, that’s correct — that’s where I got it from. I’m curious to know when it will go live and when you’ll actually be able to get it.”

The H2D is fully compatible with the Toolhead Enhanced Cooling Fan and Tungsten Carbide Nozzle from the H2D Pro.

After the necessary firmware updates and production rollout, both accessories are expected to be available in the official store in Q4 2025.

Thank you very much for the update!

Thanks for the info. There is some inconsistency between the temps, on the H2D Pro page it says 3c but on the wiki it says 5c.

good to know both can be purchased and installed on H2D.

Based on the wording, the cover plate fan (Toolhead Enhanced Cooling Fan) is just there to help alleviating heat creep related problems (esp. PLA) when the room is too hot. H2D did a pretty good jobs for me but I suppose some really do leave it in 40C garage heh. Not a fan of the grey looks.

Or does anyone think it will provide any additional benefits?

The information was corrected.

The difference is 3°C

That Boilerplate network connectivity means H2D Pro is usable in businesses with stricter networking rules. until this point only X1E was wired network capable which is a must in places like mine

No pun intended right? Im not a fan of the grey fan either. LOL

It will help with heat creep with all filaments as the nozzle cooling fan is always running. Will improve things with high temp PPS/PPA most likely although I have not had problems thus far. I only had an extruder clog once when switching from high temp to low temp material without sufficient cooldown time. Perhaps with this new aux fan that would not have happened.

It’s actually Black. Maybe we need to improve the display image in the main page.

Pictures of the printer available in the link will better show the color.

We were talking about the new aux hot end cooling fan (not the H2D Pro itself), does not look as cool as the translucent smoke H2D cover! LOL

Also will the new tungsten nozzles be available in HF variety?

That looks amazing in black! I could never justify the cost for a color change though.

Yeah… give us some RGB sync’d to hotend temps or something. Or project layer counts, something cool. I can see some opportunities for 3rd party aftermarket fans here.
