H2D pro's new pricing point

Two months ago, B&H Photo, Video, and Audio online shopping website’s H2D pro has hit a staggering 3,000 USD (not including taxes or shipping fees), the MOST down to earth official reseller of H2D pros out there. While this is still technically 1,200 USD more than the regular H2D single AMS 2 combo at 1750 USD, the majority of H2D pro resellers are still selling H2D pros at 4,000 USD, the outdated price point it has been at for over a year now.

Let the image speak for itself:

(or the link… its right here btw: B&HPhotovideo.com Bambu Lab H2D pro combo overview)

It is highly advised that anyone looking to buy one of these now knows the NEW price point for H2D pros, and hopefully the other resellers will lower their prices to compensate for the massive time gap for the ordinary folk that still want the professional WPA 3 and Ethernet experience without the professional money, as well as some side fancies like the two Tungsten HF nozzles, the two extra Tungsten standard nozzles, vision encoder, emergency button, enhanced toolhead fan, both AMS 2 and HT, and physical network switch.

Pretty much the exact same things in the box as it would be according to the Bambu lab official wiki: H2D Pro Packaging List | Bambu Lab Wiki Keep in mind that the two Tungsten standard are pre-installed and that the two Tungsten HF are inside the toolbox.

If anyone is wondering how much an H2D AMS 2 plus AMS HT combo plus enhanced toolhead fan, bundled with vision encoder, plus emergency button, plus two tungsten HF and two tungsten standard flow (basically as close you can get without buying the H2D pro itself) costs, it is (drumroll please):

x2

x2

Which is:

$1850 + $75 + $120 + $180 + $40 + $30 = $2,295 USD

That means all the extra Wi-fi/network features the H2D pro has costs about 705 USD, which means THAT is the deciding amount of money for whether you want an H2D pro or an H2D. (Ofc, not everyone in the world wants an H2D, but hey, if that’s you, you might wanna take this into account)

Lets put that into perspective: with 3000 USD you could buy either

  • An H2D plus a standalone P2S or X2D
  • An H2C AMS combo with two extra induction hotends and another AMS 2 and HT
  • An H2C AMS combo with two extra induction hotends and three AMS HTs
  • Two H2S AMS combos
  • A Prusa Core 1+ 8-tool-INDX kit and a Prusa Core 1+ kit
  • A Creality Raptor Pro scanner and a K2+ combo
  • Wild card! Canon R6 Mark III 50mm lens combo

Is this a joke? You want to spend 1000 over retail like it’s a good thing? The pro version is just a sticker and an Ethernet port …

I am slowly setting the stage for a purchase here at work… soon.

Good luck! You gonna need it. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Holding out for H3C news, otherwise I would get the cheaper setup as outlined in OP’s post. We don’t need an ethernet port.

This does remind me though. I need to buy a diamonback for mine at home…

You’d be surprised to see how much people would like ethernet ports on 3D printers then, most other companies have it by default!

You probably also didn’t read the whole thing properly…

sigh

One problem with the X1 pro was that the parts were different and you couldn’t order them from the main storefront. If the H2D pro has the same problem I wouldn’t want it.

It also has enhanced wifi security and priority access to support.

It is designed for businesses.

I think the rest of the things like the nozzles and AMS units can be purchased retail.

From what the Bambulab Wiki says, the H2D pro (electrical-wise) only has four extra printed circuit boards and presumably all the other hardware and mechanics are the same [as the H2D].

If I get one I’ll tell you what I find haha

IF… and that’s a big if:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
