H2D - PTFE Disconnect error during print

Hello,

I just finished a long print (36 hours) on the H2D using basic PLA and support PLA. Print looks great - no issues there! Throughout the print I had the “PTFE Tube disconnected during filament insertion” error 3-4 times. I can’t figure out what sensor may be causing this; the tubes are all connected firmly.

Any suggestions on where to look? I’m at the point of pulling each tube out and checking it then reinserting it.

I think this is a known bug, but I’m confused because I thought because of the bug they’ve had it disabled in every version of the H2D firmware. It’s been listed under “Known Issues” for every version so far.

It looks like yours has become un-disabled?

Incidently it is temporarily disabled in the new beta firmware, bambu has certainly experienced false positive like you did and disabled the feature until it’s fixed.

Changelog for V01.01.02.00

Known Issues:

  1. Filament PTFE tube detachment detection is temporarily disabled

Just read @PrinterMcgee comment and he’s right it should have been disabled even on current or initial firmware.

Well it’s good to know I’m not crazy
Thanks all. I will do the beta upgrade today (already done on the other machine) and see if that solves it for now.

Y’all are the best!

You have to test everything that goes out to the main version chain. If you don’t, you tend to create more problems than you fix. Change management is PITA.

I updated to the latest Beta, and started a 24 hour print so there will be an opportunity to catch it.

I also did a restart and a calibration for the heck of it.

Thanks all - will update if everything resolves (or doesn’t).
