H2D rear vent screws are not removable?!

I want to vent my H2D’s rear exhaust outside and while looking at the available adapters on Makerworld I went to see what type of heads the vent opening screws have.

Two issues:

  1. The back panel partially covers the screw heads; do I need to remove the entire panel to get to them?

  2. After getting no grip with 1.0, 2.0 and 2.5mm Allen wrenches (the 2.5 won’t go in the hole), I looked more closely and saw that the recesses in the screw heads are cylindrical (see photo)!

What’s going on here?!

I am pretty sure you have to remove the panel to get to the screws I think you are talking about.

You should ignore this, I am pretty sure I dont know what screws you are talking about.

There are no screws there, they are just posts that align with the rear panel. You can screw in those posts

As shown in the photo, it’s the H2D back panel where you can see the lower right corner (left if viewed from the front of the machine) of the louvered vent.

Ah, I think you’re right.

I re-read the Installation section here H2D Smoke Ventilation Pipe Quick-release Assembly - Free 3D Print Model - MakerWorld and it looks like I mistakenly assumed that the recommended screws replace the existing ones, but apparently they screw into the cylindrical holes of the posts behind the back cover.
