Hello,
I’ve been using the H2D for about a week now.
I’ve noticed that my H2D sometimes scratches over the infill – the flow rate is set correctly, and I’m using gyroid infill since there have been frequent issues with grid infill.
You can also clearly hear it when it travels quickly over the surfaces.
The nozzle hasn’t been changed or anything like that – everything is stock.
Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?
When I drove over it quickly, part of my silica box broke off. I printed it with ASA. Afterward, I took a closer look and noticed a slight scratch.
This has bit me a little, I think. I’ve had a bunch of tall thin prints on the H2D and have had a few failures. I haven’t been there to see the failures, so not sure exactly. On one piece though I could see where it hit the infill and knocked the print. The model is tall enough, that it easily messes the whole print up when it does that. Very frustrating.
Yes, one of the problems I’m also seeing is that when it scratches over the infill, some material briefly builds up on the nozzle, and the AI sensor detects a clog – I’ve already had that happen.
Maybe the Bambu support team could comment on this?
Check that your plate is properly placed (should be with the new system), and that there are no issues with the bed screw below the plate. Some people have seen some of the screws’ heads actually not being fully in. If that is the case, the plate could sit higher than it should causing problems.
This is not likely the problem but its quick and easy to check. If they are not lower than flush, simply get a screwdriver and tighten them down (without stripping them). Not much force is needed here, snug will be fine.
all checked before i wrote this topic here. It isnt the case.
Same here. Scratches over the infill and sometimes thats enough to push the print from the plate…
Maybe we can get an Support here to test this? Because i think the Z Offset isnt quite right then…
I’ve definitely had this as well. Sounds like a software bug. Everything else prints perfect then it runs into and gouges a part.
I have the same problem. I want to print the poop container but every time (3 attempts) the nozzle seems to collide with the component and partially breaks it. Support ticket is already open but no answer yet
(Why can’t I attach pictures?)
Try setting your Z-hop to 0.6mm — it sounds like your travel moves might be hitting the print. I haven’t run into this issue myself, but I’ve been using a 0.6mm Z-hop and haven’t had any problems.
