H2D Timelapse File Size

I’ve recently got my H2D and have had a couple of prints, 3-4. I’ve got a 64GB USB in for the timelapses but have noticed that its filling up quick. With those few prints, the files already take up 10GB.

When checking the files, I noticed it has been storing the full length videos, separate pictures for each frame of the video and then the timelapses themselves. Is this by design or am I missing a setting to stop this ?

You can unselect the full video recording on the printer or in bambu studio, there is a small gear on top of the video window where you can uncheck “auto-record monitoring”. This option (printer or BS) is only for the full video, it will still record timelapses if selected when printing.

Mine hasn’t recorded any timelaps. It says traditional in slicer. Havent see any. Studio says nothing there. Stores.print files. Put stick in computer and tells me no way access files.

If you have your USB in the printer. Can you access the time lapse video VIA Bambu Studio? Click on Device at the top. Click on Storage on the left. Make sure Timelapse is selected in the top center. From there you should be able to see your timelapse files and click on download of any that are availible.

If not I would try and do a USB format from the machine it self when you don’t have a current print in progress. NOTE: you will loose any files on that USB stick. Make sure you don’t have anything on it you don’t want to loose.

The fact that it has the whole video on the card is a good option to have because it means you can do your own time lapse with video application. The current timelapse method is way too fast. It took a 4.5h print and gave me a 9sec video! I mean jeeze come on now, 9 seconds from four and a half hours?? You can barely see anything from that. You got to be kidding me!

Don’t worry it would overwrite old recordings automatically.

It does give a warning about available space. I guess if you ignore this a print it would then overwrite.

I got working. My usb stick wasn’t the best. Replaced it. And I apparently was checking all the places you have to eble timelaps. Thanks all
