im getting some bizarre behavior on my last 3 prints. the timelapse is ignoring the slicer setting “traditional” and parking the nozzle after each layer. what’s even more strange is that it only does it with the left nozzle. any ideas? seems to have started when i tried to print 4 slightly different models in by object settings with different colors as the base and the top text in white for all models
If both nozzles are used for printing but only one nozzle is used for some layers, the toolhead will be moved to the purge chute and the height of the heatbed will be adjusted to the corresponding height of the “main nozzle” and take snapshots when printing these layers. For smooth mode, the video effect is the same as X1/P1, but for traditional mode, these layers become “smooth mode”, and the entire timelapse video is a mixture of traditional mode and smooth mode, even though you have set it to traditional.
You can read more here, but the main idea is that the timelapse will classify your print into 3 different scenarios, even if it doesn’t have to since you have no filament changes afterwards.
also FWIW if anyone lands on this. in the article it says “some layers”, if your first color is >=4.5mm the timelapse will be entirely traditional, not a mix of both
