Hello everyone,
Will there be a firmware update in the near future that allows the H2D to use different nozzle sizes (0.4/0.2) at the same time?
That would be very useful for signs with text, for example.
It would allow you to print the background with a large nozzle and the text with a small nozzle.
That’s something I’m currently missing on the H2D.
That’s not an issue for the printer. The H2D is perfectly capable of doing this. It’s the slicer that lacks the capability.
Hi Gerrit,
ok, but then we hope for an Studio Update ![]()
That would be really great. I want to think they’re working to bring this feature.
In my opinion: This will be implemented after Prusa or Orca implement it.
Prusa[Slicer] already has a version of it. It was kinda awkward last I looked (couple months ago). And it’s all “experimental” still and all those caveats. But it’s a thing.

PrusaSlicer 3.0.0 is supposed to have support for different nozzle sizes for the new INDX system. There were some forks/experiments for the XL. I’m sure that will translate over to at least OrcaSlicer soon enough and by extension Bambu Studio (I suppose).
I would love to be able to use a 0.8 or 1.0mm nozzle for infill. And a 0.4 or 0.6 for perimeter walls
I am also waiting for this feature, since I have my H2D. Would be very appreciated.
