To me, these are two distinct AMS units. The AMS 3P (smaller size) is designed for the P3C model (4–6 heads/nozzles—Model SA018, requiring a 24V 1A power supply), while the AMS 3H is for the H3C (large size, 10 heads/nozzles—Model SA017, requiring either a dedicated power cable [100–120V~ 200W, 50/60Hz] or a 24V 1A power supply). It wouldn’t make sense for one to fit inside the other. The design of the AMS 3P shows only a side view that doesn’t necessarily have to be detailed or identical to the actual AMS unit; this might have been done intentionally to further confuse people prior to the launch.
I think they wanted to 1 up … or should I say “2 up” prusa. ![]()
Well this guy claims to have… I saw an H3C on YouTube today. What’s up Bambu Lab? - Site Feedback - Bambu Lab Community Forum
Many seem to like Oneupmanship.
All they need to do that is to actually harden their nozzles… and provide a printer that actually works bs an overpriced alpha version thats “made in europe”
Probably Bambu will beat the formal launch of their competitor with hardened nozzles easily. There still isn’t a formal release date for the hardened nozzles.
Not sure if the expensive “European” 3D printer vendor is to blame though. It’s more the developer/supplier of the nozzles.
Both are European companies. Its actually sad if you think about it. 20 years ago Europe was at the very top of engineering, now they cant harden nozzles…
And then all the other shortcuts they took (insufficient nozzle centering/positioning, exposed heating coils directly soldered to a board) - which any serious design review would have flagged.
