Handy App info

When the AMS reads a Bambu filament, it changes the colour on the spool icon to match.

However, if the spool is low it is often hard to tell what the colour is.
Likewise it’ can be hard to tell the shade.
It’s also impossible to show gradient filaments.

It would be a huge bonus if the Bambu ordering code for the filament was also shown on the spool.

It will also make it easier to reorder the correct code for the replacement. I have now ordered the wrong shade of yellow too many times. :frowning:

I would suggest also showing the (if it is known) product name, type, sub-type, and the colour name along with the spool code.

  • Bambu Lab
  • PLA
  • Basic
  • Sunflower yellow

Possibly by an info button on each one.

My only working eye finds it hard, I have to remember which ones I have in five different printers and 9 AMS units. My brain isn’t what it used to be.

Are these not part of the handy app ? i believe the colours on the left hand side are specific to bambu, alternatively you could just keep the box it comes in…

This is what is shown before printing when the swatches are presented.

This is shown when looking at the device.

This does provide some of the information, but not when you need it to make a choice, as demonstrated and missing from the first screenshot.

That is a new feature added to a recent studio update.

The feature request is about the Handy App.
