Might be related to Android 17, however I noticed my UI under devices and the “Me“ page is partially broken. On the devices page the icon for adding new devices and the three lines for settings has been replaced with random chinese characters. Same issue with some things throughout the printer and filament section under devices.
I haven’t experienced this, although I am on iPadOS & iOS.
I have the latest release of those: Version 3.20.0, updated 17 hours ago.
What version do you have?
- Me
- Settings
- About the App
- Settings
3.20.0, already tried an app reinstall as well.
OK, we need an Android user who has the latest version to chip in with their experience.
Found a bit of an answer. I guess it been reported since early December that it does not work on the newest version of Android coming out, and no word from bambulab from the different posts I’ve seen on this issue. I am also now unable to initiate prints from my phone as well.
@SupportAssistant Any word on this? First reports on it I see are from December of 2025.
Could you please let me know the phone type and the Android version you are running?
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, Android 17. From what I’ve seen its been broken on android 17 since beta dropped in December, with the only solution being to downgrade to Handy version 3.0.3.
Thank you. I shared it with the team and they will look into this bug to fix it ASAP.
Thank you, for some more information all of my filament in my AMSs show as question marks so if you try to select a filament to print with it doesn’t have them mapped and is unable to proceed past that point.
I am also having this issue. Also android 17 and s26 ultra.
Same issue here, i’m a German User, also installed android 17 bevor 3 days. And this is Happen.. ![]()
Cant print with my Bambu Handy
Same issue here as well on an S26U on android 17. Just got the printer and thought something was wrong. At least I can still watch the prints. Just can’t start one from my phone. Would love to get all the US icons back and be able to initialize my ams
I can’t get bambu handy to even open on Android 17. It starts to open then screen flashes the app of and phone opens back at the desktop.
I deleted a s reinstalled the software and never helped. This is the only app I’m having any problems with on the latest build of Android 17
I also have same problem. I am on Android 17 and ui9 beta.
Any fix for this Problem?
Please update to the latest version. The latest version of the app patches this bug.
Thank you.
Still the Same Problem since the last App Update..
The most recent update doesn’t completely fix the issue. The text is in the correct language and it now identifies the filament color however when trying to print from the app and error appears that says “unmatched filament” Differences in color or material can cause unmatched filament. Please select the filament manually. No matter what filament you select it says incompatible with g-code filament. Happens on every model.
@SupportAssistant Are we able to get anymore updates on this? Latest update did not fix the issue and Android 17 is now officially released.
Still says incompatible with g-code filament.
I purchased a P2S for about 1,5 months ago and haven’t been able to use the Bambu Handy app at all . Even more disappointing that they havent been proactive and planned ahead the release of Android 17 . I have emailed support but the only thing I managed to get from them that it has been forwarded to their development partner. Love the printer , but the app issues makes the whole purchase a bit disappointing.
They are eager to promote their beta firmware . But no possibilities to beta test bambu handy ![]()
