So I bought some polymaker polysupport. And when I am trying to remove the supports, it takes most of the interface layer off but leaves very thin pieces of it that are hard to get off. I did take it off but it took more time than I’d like especially since this is supposed to be easy “breakaway” support. The second picture is after I got it all off and did a few quick passes with a heat gun.
For settings, I am using all the default settings Bambu sets automatically when you use Support W. Top Z Distance is 0, interface pattern is concentric, and top interface spacing is 0 as well. Those are the only settings changed.
I have never used Polysupport, yet by the look and your description, you may have over-extrusion or a mix of PLA and support material in the support layer; did you calibrate the Polysupport flow rate? Or is the PLA properly flushed before changing to the support filament?
I have used to same tools as you and I still cannot get it to come off. I feel like I’m doing something wrong because it feels weird that it’s this difficult to remove it. And my flush is set to 800 both ways.
For me, it is sometimes very easy to take off and other times hard, but the tool I posted usually works well when it is hard to get off. I have found it is best to let the model completely cool down or it is harder to take off.
