Hardened Steel Gears from Alixpress

has anybody an experience with the hardened steel gears fom ali? They are half the price but are they worth the money. I´d like to print CF materials.

same question about the PEI built plates offerd there,
I do need a smooth one.

You get what you pay for. And you want to support your brand of printer.

@steve23244
dont get me wrong. if the original parts are in a way better or durable, I would not hesitate.
but I wont pay for overpriced spare parts to support them.

This is true mostly but not extend much in BBL case.

I’ve been using 3rd parts from Ali: hotend, hotend fan, build plates and cheap filaments from no-name brand

The cost of those things are just 1/3 of bambu price and work just fine.

My experience with Ali 3d printer parts were quite good in general. I haven’t bought ali extruder gears for p1s yet so I cannot comment on that. But I can comment on build plates: it is hit and miss.

Cheap plate like $9 plate is only good for PLA and PETG. A bit more expensive like $20 is more all round for PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA…

Of course Aliexpress is full of scams and counterfeits that you should be aware of

PS: CF filled is just about 10-15% mixed into the plastic and mostly gives the nice matte surface and a bit more stiffness. My opinion about CF filled filament is just over-hyped and certainly not worth that much.

Bambu Labs has crazy cheap parts and accessories! I bought an extruder filament hub for $5.99! I was expecting to pay $20! I bought some cheap build plate sheets from Amazon and they were as flimsy as can be.

Big Tree Tech now has all metal hardened steel, nano coated gears for the X1,P1,and A1 series.
