As the title says.
Has anyone figured out how to distinguish the different generations, batches, lots of printers yet?
IIRC the Gen 1 as in the kickstarter printers had the aux cooling fan held on by ?glue? and then gen 2 which was the preorder lot was screws.
If we could identify each generation then it might help us as a community to attribute some of the issues (warped bed, motherboard fan failure, print fails after a FW update, ect…).
Same with AMS, we already have 4 iterations or more.

Resurrecting this thread because I really would like to see this populated with identifiers of changes between models.
One user got a second and noticed different base feet on his X1.
Not sure if this counts but the only difference I can see so far of my two printers is a Laser Caution Label on the bottom of the printer…

Link to a post where I have uploaded photos of updated printer base (taller feet):
Hi,
I have bought 2 Babmulab X1 Carbon Combo printers form the EU store (first one on 14.January.2023, second one received today).
I have noticed that the newer one has a different base plate (the rubber feet are defenietly higher than in my older model).
See photos below:

Its not a problem at all (but looks a little bit weird when two of them are standing next to each other). It looks like they have redesigned the injection mold for this part.
I have also noticed probably the main reason why they have done it:

They have changed the Z axis linear bearings to a longer ones in the newer version.
