Seeing a few folks here indicate FedEx delivery in the US - I went and signed in and found I am getting a package from them too weighing approx 101lbs.
This sent me back to UPS - the package weight there is 1.85lbs.
So… not sure what I am getting from UPS. ¯_(ツ)_/¯. Surely Bambu isn’t shipping the laser separately.
I’m really hoping we get truck-level tracking in the US, id really like to meet the driver so I can help him with the package (no two-man carry here) and ensure it’s safety in the last 100 feet
I think they do ship the laser module separately. If you take a look at those youtubers at the launch of the H2D, I think they received the laser and other stuff separately. Was it just for those guys and now everything is integrated in the same box I don’t know but as you received 2 tracking numbers and 2 delivery companies (FedeX and UPS), that may be still the case.
In the beginning of Bambu Lab, most everything came by a FedEx in the US. Although my X1C back in 2023 came via UPS. They then switched and now everything for the past year has come by UPS, filament, Etc.
It is interesting now to see them shipping the printers by FedEx. I’m not really sure who I’d rather have ship it.
But I do think UPS gets bambu lab stuff out of Los Angeles faster than FedEx.
Ordered on 8th April, day one order here in UK and still not delivered. Escalated to Bambu Labs via support ticket and after 5 days have not replied. Deeply disappointed with BL.
The communication and planning from bambu lab is pretty bad to be honest. I ordered the H2D on April 9th and was told that the printer would be shipped on April 18th. On April 19th I used the live chat and there I was told that today the tracking will go out and tomorrow, Tuesday, the courier will come and pick up the printer. Of course, I didn’t receive a tracking number and asked again in the live chat what was going on. Now I was told that the printer will only be sent out in 2-3 days, which means that I can’t expect it this week either. But it’s good that new printers will be sold again tomorrow, although not everyone from 8 and 9 april has even received their tracking information for the delivery.
Just read in the USA DHL will not be delivering any 3D printer over 800 dollars, as it has gotten too complicated with the paperwork.
Not sure how true it is…
I would imagine that would be for printers coming from outside the US so they don’t have to deal with collecting the tariffs. It wouldn’t impact Bambu at all.
I can imagine with the tariff rates constantly changing that people are fighting with them a lot. One guy ordered a Prusa XL and it got hit with the one day tariff rate of 20% before it dropped to 10%. Do you even want to accept the printer?
FedEx just let me know my printer will arrive this Friday. It’s from the laser combo from the first pre-order window. It looks like FedEx is bringing the printer and AMS; UPS is delivering the actual laser accessories.
