Hello,
I’m using a P1S printer and it is working well with bambulab PLA
I have been using a WanhaonD6 with hatchbox filament for longtime and this printer is a big step up
I still have several new PLA hatchbox spools
I’m wondering if some one had a print profile for this PLA brand
Thanks all
I’ve printed Hatchbox beige using Bambu PLA settings and it was fine - actually great.
YMMV though.
Hello
Thanks for fast answer
Is there any difference when use other colors?
I always use gray color filament
So far the only Hatchbox color I’ve used is the beige so can’t say from personal experience. I’ve seen another user who made an RFID holder for Hatchbox spools say the Bambu settings are working for him. Don’t know what colors though.
Hi
Do you use a PLA generic profile PLA profile or Bambu PLA profile?
Using Bambu Basic PLA RFID tags so far so it calls up everything in the tags for that. Studio prompts you with the Bambu filament type for the tag it finds (in my case Bambu Basic PLA beige) and even prompts with the color from the tag. But you can presumably use Bambu’s tags from any Bambu filament for any other filament that works with those settings.
Hi,
I just print one wall support using generic PLA profile with texture plate ( I have problems with smooth plate, no adhesion)
Wow!!!
Beautiful finishing, almost no visible lines
I never have anything like in Wanhao D6
I’m printing the second
I’ll start save the RFID tags for the future
Thanks for your help, appreciate
Be sure to mark them with what filament they are from ASAP after emptying. Ask me how I know…
Glad it worked out!
As others have mentioned, you can pretty reliably take the Bamboo profiles as a starting point for creating your custom profile.
Here’s the profile I created, sorry for the typos in the name:
HATCHBOX PLA Dark yello.bbsflmt.3mf (1.6 KB)
Rename file and remove “.3mf” extension after downloading.
Update: sorry, didn’t realize this was a stale post.
I also just use the Bambu Lab settings.
One thing I do to save future pain is to save the RFID chip, say from a spool of Bambu Lab Red Matte PLA and if I buy a spool of someone elses matte red, I’ll put that matte red on a Bambu Lab refillable spool and tape the Bambu Lab RFID chip into the hub and then the AMS will see that as Bambu Lab Matte red and away you go.
Waiting on my rewinder now as swapping from somebody elses cardboard spool to a Bambu Lab spool is not pretty
I was contemplating that the other night as well. Watching the the RFID discussion
and learning that each RFID is unique, I was wondering if it may be possible to assign a unique profile to a specific RFID, so in that way I could retain my custom profile with that “reused” RFID chip?
I don’t know how much you mess with Github, but there is nothing like fame in the software world to get a bunch of software folks trying to get into and look under the hood.
This is new (to me) from the last github search but always worth looking at Github to see who is trying to look under the covers.
Bambu Research is in no way affiliated with Bambu Labs so use good judgement.

As a software engineer I can appreciate this. Thanks for sharing your findings!
