Having a hard time adding connectors after a cut

Most of the stuff in Bambu Studio seems to come to me ok, but this one thing is driving me crazy. I position the cut, add my connectors, and make the cut. Everything looks good, but when I try to save it, Studio says I need to make a Boolean mesh. Boolean mesh tells me that I need two parts. I right-click on the connectors, but I get nothing. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to change the connectors to a part so that I can subtract them. The male part of the connector is fine. It is the female part that I am having a problem with. Thanks

Are you trying to save the cut pieces as .STLs? Once cut, you can just save the project file like normal, The cuts, etc will be saved.

Saving a cut part as a STL is a different bird. I have not figured that out yet.

Thanks. I think that I have finally figured it out. If I highlight each one of the connectors, then right-click, it gives me an option to change the type of part, then I can use Boolean mesh to subtract them.
