im not sure why, or if its just this new spool of filament im using (as wasn’t having this issues with the last role). but im having issues with getting a good first later down.
Ive given the plate a clean with alcohol but not sure what else to try.
Wash the plate with warm water and grease cutting dish detergent (Dawn works well), rinse with lots of water, dry with a clean towel, and don’t touch the print surface. A clean dish rag or small nylon brush will help get into the low spots on a textured plate.
Alcohol will dissolve oils on the plate (fingerprints usually), but will re-deposit them when it evaporates. Unless you wipe the plate with lots of alcohol and multiple clean towels, you are probably just spreading the oils around. Better than no cleaning at all, but not totally effective.
I gave it a good clean with washing liquid but still no luck .
It puts down a whole circle with infill fine, but then when it gets to tiny little details it just doesn’t stick at all and ends up sticking to the nozzle :-/
the bed temp is 65 (the standard one set in the Bambu Studio). To be honest im such a newbie ive never even tried to tweak this settings, but will give it a go.
Is there a specific setting I should change this? or is it just increasing it on the printer side?
It does seem to be dependent on the individual print as to whether it sticks or not though (I guess this is expected?). Some 1st layer shapes seem to be more ‘stackable’ than others.
Generally my prints are working fine at the moment, but this ONE print I cant get the 1st layer down for love nor money! It just smooshes the little rectangles around all over the plate! I dont know what its finding so hard with this in particular as other prints its fine with. My guess is that the slice just has all the tiny little rectangles with no infill so has they’re very weak
Would anybody have any suggestions? Maybe doing infill first?
Yeah it’s on aligned. I tried a bunch of things yesterday, and I THINK increasing the layer height on the first layer might have done the trick. I’ll have to double check though
