Having trouble with P1P

Hello my P1P has been giving me sloppy prints last day or so. Never had any problems until now.

Bambu slicer, petg, normal speed. I’ve tried several things to print all turn out very similar.
Thanks!

Have you recently updated your firmware? There have been a bunch of reported issues just after people have updated.

Yeah I did, I tried to roll it back using the app. Doesn’t seem to have fixed it.

I rolled back in app, and it didn’t work. But I did a factory reset and I’m back up and running. Given that my printer was less than a day old, it seemed the best path. Ymmv

Also uninstalled and reinstalled bambu studio and handy, just in case.

Not to downplay firmware impacts because that is a high risk evolution where the software writers hope they have covered every eventuality and sometimes miss things.

I had a quality issue recently that I think were caused by a dirty nozzle. Cleaning nozzles is a pain (IMO) so I keep spares because I can swap a nozzle way quicker than I can clean a nozzle. Then if the nozzle swap fixes the problem I can clean the nozzle at my pace.
Swapping nozzles solved my problem in that instance.

Also, be mindful of just what firmware is being written over.
I do not know if Bambu Lab polls a given machine to see what it is, and what hardware is connected to an owners machine, but I have seen some examples of updates to my machine that says they just push everything to everyone, regardless of machine configuration.
I indicate 4 different firmware files residing on my printer, 1) Printer, 2) AMS OG #1, 3) AMS OG #2, 4) AMS2 Pro #1
Printer has it’s own file, the AMS OG’s have a file which is the same on both machines, while the AMS2 Pro has a different firmware file.
Being mindful of which device is being updated can help you troubleshoot.

Lastly, they can update Bambu Studio or Bambu Handy software which my Bambu Studio had a MAJOR revision to the software within the last couple of weeks which defaults I relied on as default settings got changed so are no longer default settings

Check that your toolhead casing fan is plugged in all the way and turning on. I had this happen recently and without the fan it was printing JUST like that. It will not throw an error but you will not having proper cooling and this is the result.
