Hi,
I have a spare heat bed because it was wraped and bambulab kindly send me a new one. I don’t want to throw it away but it just laying around so I was thinking about using it for filament drying.
I supplied it with 230V AC and it heats up properly, but I cannot control the temperature.
So does anyone know how the temperature can be regulated? Mabye using the dataline and some microcontroller but since everything is proprietary there is no datasheet for the data connection. Or can it be regulated by supplying a lower voltage?
Otherwise I think I need to have a separate temperature sensor and power the heat bed for a short time if the temp is too low inside the drying box.
Thanks for your help!
You could go a PID temperature controller with a 40A solid state relay. These kits come with a k type thermocouple. These kits are US$25.
Just remember you are working with mains voltage.

Thats a great idea, didn’t knew such kits exist, thank you!
