Heatbed fluctuating wildly by +/- 10 degrees

Hey all, first post here; just trying to figure out why the heatbed is shooting up and down in temp during printing. For context I am printing PLA and have the bed temp set to 60C. While it’s preparing, and sometimes during printing it will go as high as 70 and as low as 50 degrees.

It could be that the temperature sensor is off, as changes in the displayed temp can be quite rapid. It will be at 60 and then suddenly be 67, climb up to 70, slowly come back down to 60, drop rapidly and slowly come back up, etc.

I’ve made a support ticket but it’s been a while now - is there anything I can do or investigate in the meantime? Thank you!

You could have a look at Replacing the Heatbed Unit V3 | Bambu Lab Wiki and if you feel you’re up to the task you can use it for checking wiring and connectors.

Oh geez, that looks like a nightmare hahah! I may just wait for support to say whether that needs to be done, so I don’t go fiddling all willy-nilly and do something I shouldn’t. Thank you for the link though, this is certainly informative.
