Heatbed Temperature is abnormal

My printer got delivered Tuesday. I set it up and ran a few prints. No issues. Wednesday I also ran a few prints. Again no issue, then I started getting this error:

Note: I stole this from the wiki cause I didn’t take my own picture, but the error is the same

The wiki has a whole page troubleshooting this (see here) which I have not tried yet. It involves taking the back off, checking for loose connectors/wires, then taking the bed apart and checking there as well.

I’m a little disappointed that less than 24 hours after setting up the printer I’m already getting errors with it. If it is just a loose connection that I can probably fix, not a huge deal, but still annoying. I guess I’m curious if anyone else has seen this. If so, has it been as simple as a loose connection? Will taking apart my machine void any warranty?

I really, really, don’t want to have to send my printer back… I mean, I just got it and it’s my only printer!!

Hi Chris,
probably you have already got a solution for this but contact BL support and they will guide you.
I got into same issue myself and in my case it was due to a failing bed connector cable and im waiting for a replacement bed that soon will be be sent to me.

Thanks for the reply. I did get my replacement bed on Friday actually and installed it so I’m back to a fully functioning printer. Took me two hours to do the swap.

Good to hear! I have removed the bed so im ready when it arrives

Having the same problem, got a support ticket, waiting for answer.

How much pain in the rear end is the bed replacement?

Well, it’s not fun. But it’s not impossible either. As I mentioned above I did it in two hours, but I’m also not what I’d call super mechanically inclined. I’d say it’s on a similar still level with building your own PC. I mean, all the pieces are parts only have one place to go so it’s not like you have to do a lot of guess work. But it also requires that you follow directions and make sure you know where to put all the pieces and parts.

If you haven’t seen it already, here’s the guide on the Bambu Lab Wiki: Replacing the Heat Bed | Bambu Lab Wiki

My biggest concern was that I was going to go through all the work and either I would do something wrong or the issues wasn’t a bad heatbed and so all the work would be for nothing. But after I got it installed and fired up, everything worked and it’s been smooth sailing ever since.

Note: I did NOT “re-glue” the connect with silicone glue. Someone said (I think on discord) that the glue is really just to make sure the connections stay in place during shipping. I haven’t had an issue without the glue in the ~2 weeks since I did the replacement.

Thx👍 I will wait for response from the support team.

Same thing here. Upload your printer logs if you haven’t.

They’ll come to a solution faster.

So in fact it was a loose/not fully connected cable on the Board. A bit tension on the cable too…I tried to loosen the tension a bit with some tape, hopefully it keeps it from slipping out again.

At least not a damaged heat bed, but I have the concern that this could become a regular problem… any good ideas ? just used some generic isotape, next time I will use some strong double tape.

I need to replace the cable on my heat bed as well. But I’m stuck in an early stage. It says to unlock the belt tension ports but I’m not sure how to do that and I’m stuck already. Was there any special trick?

After removing the 14 screws, the back plate should come off at the different screw points already but will keep tight around the belts, shift the whole plate to the left first, then it comes loose there, then to the right.

Was a bit of a hustle for me too, I was worried about breaking or bending something.
