I want to make some coasters that are about 1/8” thick with two colors. Can I use a .svg file to do it? I made these coasters in aspire and don’t know how to get them in Bambu labs. **
Nice one. This is exactly the sort of thing I should have watched before diving in head first.
I have created a few (getting on for 200) coasters.
I previously wrote a simple guide to creating coasters from scratch including common rules on dimensions here in the forum.
Nice how-to! The only thing I’m missing in my opinion is the order of your colors. Start with the lightest and end with the darkest. This way the chance that there appear black stripes in the white for example is highly reduced.
To change this, the easiest way is clicking on the nut icon next to the buildplate. Then click on the bottom left on “Print sequence” and choose “custom”, then set the desired order and set the same order also for “First layer filament sequence”.
Yes, I also do that which is detailed in a couple of places on the forum.
The problem with a quick guide is the requirement t for ‘quick’.
If I detailed every single step, it would take far too long for people to read and rather than try they would give up.
Really helpful tip about printing light colors before dark! I was having this issue and it didn’t occur to me that there was a setting I could change. So many variables and settings it’s very overwhelming for a beginner.
