Help creating a Bambu X1 profile for ideaMaker 4.3.2

So ideaMaker has a feature I desperately need for an ongoing project: texture. It allows one to project a heightmap onto an STL file and print said STL with the texture applied to the surface; in my case, a woodgrain pattern. The problem is there isn’t an available profile for the X1 in the ideaMaker library of printers. Is anyone interested in having a go at creating one?

I do not know ideaMaker, but can’t you just slice it there and export the gcode to be used directly from the printer. Most settings you like speed etc you could most likely just copy from Bambu Studio.

I’m pretty sure you can export the modified object as an stl

Wouldn’t THAT be the solution?! Wish I could

i just created a custom printer with the bambu specs… am i missing something but this software just creates stl right?

Hi, have you find a solution to print ideamakers texture with bambulab printers? I tried every trick, but nothing works for me. :frowning:

Nein geht nicht jedenfalls nicht mit den neuen Texturen, die werden nicht exportiert

Alas, no. Nothing I tried worked and so I gave up a while back. Hoping this feature is added to Bambu Studio soon!

For those chiming in with “solutions”, do please TRY what you suggest and let’s all find a solution that actually works, eh?

IM is adding the textures during slicing and cannot be exported as STL.

There are only two option imho:

IM is adding support for bambulab printers
IM is open sourcing the texture function

Probably nether ist going to happen.

Manipulating STLs with Blender is the only way. Takes way to long for my workflow unfortunately.

Ciao stavo guardando anche io per questa feature di ideamaker ma la texture non viene salvata nell’stl dell’oggetto.Ma non riesco nemmeno a connettere la mia A1 nel software di ideamaker perché non supporta i profili bambulab.
