Help! Issue printing presliced ModPlates!

I am having issues printing the modplates and the aux fan supports that you download off the wiki. Just to check, I got a normal one (an infinity cube) And put the gcode on the sd card. It worked with no problems. When I try to print the modplates with the 3mf Ones, it does nothing, after flashing “Unzipping 3mf” any help is appreciated. I currently cant use the slicer due to being a strict raspi user, so I’m screwed. @SirWill , Do u have any idea what the huh is happening?

Hi there,

can you link the the specific files you are using. Scanning through the wiki as far as I understand, the 3mf files there are the project files for the Bambu slicer, not already pre-sliced files for the printer (I understand and can see the confusion as both use the same type of file format).

I am using the modplate files that you download Here, And I am getting the upgrade files from Here. Do I have to run these through the slicer to make them work? my understanding was that 3mf files are already sliced.
Thanks.

Does this mean that 3mf files can be not sliced when I download them?

Hi Thenerdyone,

your initial question was that you can’t directly print the downloaded 3mf-Files from the wiki, no you asked if they can’t be sliced.

It checked it by myself (at least one example) - the 3mf-files from the wiki kinda be the project files for BambuSlicer to be sliced there using your setup. After it is sliced it will be send (or stored) as standard again as a 3mf-file, but this time with the GCode included.

3mf is a general ‘zip’-file with additional meta-data and can contain different types of files.
It is getting more and more standard for sharing settings of slicers as project file and on the other hand (as it contains meta-data) bambu uses it as ‘standard’ for their sliced print files (which still contains the gcode-files besides other information).

Thanks. That solves my problem, I will slice these things asap. Thanks for being a quick replyer. Have a good day.
