Help! Major league problem - Idler screw stripped

I was getting the “filament stuck in extruder error” and there was no filament stuck. I finally tried to take apart the extruder itself to clean it out. It looks like the arm screw got stripped as I was trying to remove it (see below picture). I can’t turn the screw now. So WTF do I do now? Is my printer now destroyed? Thanks for any help.

Do you have a better Allen wrench set? The one that comes with the printer is horrible and can slip like what happened to you. Find a better fitting one and you will be fine.

Agreed!

I’d recommend some wera drivers like this one (link below). I’ve been able to get out partially stripped screws with them before. Yours looks like it isn’t completely rounded over, so I think with a good quality driver, you have a chance of getting that removed.

I ordered the Wera screwdriver, thanks. I’m still skeptical I’ll be able to get it out. The screwdriver arrives tomorrow, I’ll post back tomorrow if I can get it out.

If necessary you can remove the complete lever. Its written you have to loosen the screw, but its working also without loosen it. Just a little more fiddly.

I got the screwdriver and it worked! Thanks! I just ordered a Wera 2.0mm as well. The drivers that Bambu provides us really are ■■■■. I really thought my P1S was a goner. Are these printers even under warranty?

I got this bad boy out:
