I have model painted and want to print but when I slice it only does one color
What am I forgetting to do?
Thanks
lets start with the basics, did you go into your color selection menu and choose a different color for each segment?
could you show the whole screen? i can’t tell from just the slicing info menu what is wrong
from what i can see, you have 3 colors active, but only one used, try right clicking on the separate objects and clicking separate into objects, then right click again on each individual piece and switch your filament color
Just tried to load a different file with same issue. Not sure what I’m missing
Still could use help
Test. New Window, Right click and add a primitive cube. Make sure you have more than one colour active in your AMS and do a Paint Layer for half the cube (or just go artistic). Slice and see what the outcome is. Should be similar to screenshots below.
ok…getting somewhere…that worked
no I need to figure out why dragon didnt work
thank you for getting back to me
Maybe there is some issue with the model. Try right click on the model and select Fix model. Try a couple of models from MakerWorld, if they work and your model does not, you may need to go back to the source of the model.
Sorry for reviving this, but not sure if you solved this issue as I just encountered this recently and had some luck with this. I remembered while tinkering with my model that I turned on the option to “Flush into this object” which required the prime tower to be on to be enabled otherwise the option will be hidden from the left side panel and greyed out in the “Flush Options” submenu when right clicking. Leaving “Flush into this object” ON after disabling the prime tower or just leaving it on by itself made my models generate with the first color only. Not sure why even with the prime tower on. I thought this might be useful for people who find this post when Googling.
