Hello, zen574!
Oh wow, that for sure is weird
When it fell off, was it in the printer od did it fall of from the outside?
Is that thing solid plastic?
What’s the white material on the top?
Could you share a few more pictures with better focus?

Looks like adhesive, but way too much applied to the object, almost like the end core of a glue stick, but that looks much smaller in diameter than most glue sticks.

Is it soft, rubbery? If so, I’d guess it’s a travel bump-stop for one end of one of the axes.

Any other pics of this item? Out of focus? Is this the only part? Assuming X1C? Did you find it on the print bed, or the bottom of the printer, or ? Got a rough idea of the size but still difficult without context. Any measurements or similar to get better how big this part is?

This is the best pic i could manage. it’s roughly 14 mm around, through hole, and that;'s some sort of grease on it in the first pic.

oh, and it seemed to fall off from near the top, fall onto the bed, then down into the chamber

LOL! Kalvin nailed it. it’s the internal base of an elmer’s 6 gram glue stick.

no idea how that ended up rolling around in there. i’ll always admit when i’ve been an idiot though!

No way!
That is such a hilarious find! Don’t think yourself an idiot, it’s just a small oversight friend!
An easy mistake.

I’m just glad it wasn’t something critical!

Nooo way haha. I was afraid it’s something way worse…
