My house got flooded about 3 months ago , so had to put everything on hold for a while . Finally finished renovations and started to get my setup back and going but now when i try to load bambu studio it loads and then shuts down?? tried downloading latest version but smae problem.
Can anybody help ?
Ok after messing around for a couple of hours , i kinda found a way to make it load.
First i have 2 monitors 1- dell 34inch oled and 2- acer 34 inch i bought at costco (cheap)
If i put my acer as primary display i can load bambu studio but if I put my oled as primary display it loads and then shuts down?
Anybody have an explanation to this?
Would only be a problem if there is conflicts.
Like Studio requiring a display certification - It does not.
Give the Wise Registry Cleaner a try, you can download the free version for the basic checks and repairs.
Quite often Windows gets a hickup when new hardware and/or drivers are installed.
Studio relies heavily on what Windows has to provide, like a working backbone for IE and EDGE, lots of libraries,…
Apart from those possible areas of trouble you already confirmed it has to be somehow related to the change of displays.
Well, some are good, some are not so good, no matter the price tag.
I assume Acer means it’s laptop or standard desktop for office use?
Take good look at how exactly the display ports work and whether or not you have the latest drivers installed for the hardware.
I have an old HP laptop here that I use for my laser cutter and other CNC needs.
Has a HDMI and VGA output on the back and is supposed to support three displays, built in and then one on each port.
Three displays is only possible if the other two are full HD monitors with the same native resolution as the build in display.
Watching a 4K movie on the big TV works too but only that.
A lot of programs misbehave if I run things on an external screen.
The only reason for this I could ever find on the WWW is that some programmers won’t consider a multi-screen environment, not even display changes.
Means their programs check the Windows defaults during the installation and stick with that.
To make it work on a second screen the programmer entirely relies on the user having made sure his environment is up for the task.
Bit hard if there is no real chance to troubleshoot things.
One things that did help in a few cases was to abuse Windows and to force a misbehaving app to start in compatibility mode for Win 95.
Most modern programs refuse to work on 95 and so the assistant (should) pops up to offer more option, the first is an automatic check for the best settings.
I doubt is works to trick Studio but I also think that you Windows isn’t fully healthy - no offense as I am just guessing here…
thanks for the input. Not using a laptop both monitors are hooked up to my desktop pc. i had 3 monitors before and zero issues. I kinda messed around and have a feeling the problem is HDR. Its weird cuz it worked once or twice today then i couldnt get it to work again . then i tried putti nthe acer monitor in HDR also and even as primary display , I could not get it to work . BUT if i put acer as primary display with HDR turned of i can load bambu studio. VERY WEIRD !
Windows does like to do weird things when using multiple monitors…
Ok so after more tinkering i found the problem!!
Turns out msi after burner was the culprit . closed it and no more loading issues. going to uninstall too cuz i dont really use it since I switch to amd graphics card.
