I designed a little panda bookmark on TinkerCad that I’d like to upload but need to fix the settings. This was printed on A1 in PLA. As its a 6 hour print I am hoping someone may know a setting I can adjust so I don’t waste too much filament on lots of trials. The main problems is that at the face the white is too thin and the other colours show through. I would be very appreciative if someone could suggest a way to improve the white layer on the face. Thanks
It may take a different white filament? Maybe others can help troubleshoot the actual print but some filament is fairly translucent. The matte colors seem to have a bit more pigment to where they are less translucent or maybe other brands?
Other than that it looks like the colors are mixing a little. I’m guessing you are using a purge tower and your extruder nozzle doesn’t have much melted filament stuck to it?
I think you’re right about the white filament. I thought that I had Bambu white but it was a prototyping white that I bought locally. Luckily a parcel with Bambu should arrive tomorrow. Thanks for your help.
Matte white often provides a far better cover than plain white.
Apart from that and considering the model is quite thin there is always the snap and (if needed) glue fix.
Print the white bits as parts to snap in, this way you won’t have a darker colour below.
