Hi, new to printing, curious how to share Makerworld link?

Hi folks, a number of weeks ago I got my first printer, It seems ive taken to it like a duck to water and have already created some early designs of my own some of which was posted today for the first time.

I was curious if anyone knew the best approach to sharing my work, I do realize there are various discords but I find the reception in some of these communities to range from quite frosty to unwelcoming and so I am not really keen on sharing my things there.
In general I have been finding it like walking on eggshells among certain 3d printing communities in that they seem not too keen on people promoting their own works, ironically the very communities that have welcomed me sharing about my 3D printer are ones totally not even related to 3D printing at all.

And so since for now I will be prioritizing for Makerworld I thought to join the forum here and ask is this a good place to share a link to my Makerworld page? or is self promotion also frowned upon here also? If you guys have a similar policy then dose anyone have any advice or suggestions on any groups or anything related to 3D printing where sharing art works is welcomed?

I have always been a bit of an artist and always given my things away for free, have helped others countless times with their own things, I have never asked for money and my art has always been just for art sake, so I am not promoting myself for any financial or profit aspect.

well if any of you folks had any advice it would be fantastic to hear!

There is a specific section of the forum for promoting your prints.

This section of the forum was added before Makerworld and thus the topic description doesn’t mention Makerworld.

The Makerworld section of the forum is frequented by a large number of very talented designers who will gladly field any questions you have regarding the platform and model promotion.

Hi Jon, thanks for the response again

I did see this forum section before but it seemed to relate to specific individual designs, I didn’t really want to spam the forum with 5 posts for individual designs so this is sort of why I was asking is there some sort of general section like so many other creative sites that a person can … so to speak, introduce themselves, at the same time providing a link to a portfolio or whatever, if that makes any sense at all.
