Hidden Gems. Aka, I found something neat on Makerworld

Yeah I have a few moments of downtime, so I’m lurking on the forums stirring up post.

The makeworld forums can be a rough neighborhood sometimes, so let’s get a block party going, and share some love.

I don’t know, I found this on Makeworld and it made me chuckle.

We should share some fun designs we’ve come across. We talk often enough about the questionable stuff, but what about the fun gems?

If you’ve come across anything neat and fun, especially something that hasn’t caught a lot of attention, you should share it here too. I like hidden gems

It looks really nice, straight from the cartoon.

Mochi Makes has been doing some cool stuff. I can’t even decide; all their prints are fun.

I’ve been following this Bowser fella too. I’m super keen on their tank work. I don’t want to do a tank so much, but there are tracked vehicles I’ve considered, and Bowser has a tank track model that’s been on my inspiration list for a minute.

I’m impressed with this headphone model from Pork3D! This is one I seriously want to do, even though I have headphones I really like. I just think it’s cool. I like projects like this, that push the limits as such.

OMG that spice rack is incredible! This is what I love about the maker community - nowhere else would you find people willing to take the time to make something like this and share it with the world. It’s great, and every time I see something like this, it fills my heart with the love that obviously went into making this

I’ll share one I found recently but haven’t had the time to print yet. I LOVE the 80’s movie TRON, and this model looks so good. I want to print the accent pieces in glow in the dark PLA.

nice post, definitely a good change of pace and see more of celebration of designs, especially the ones that might not be so visible in makerworld’s algorithm

Although not completely hidden (it’s a remix of a popular model) this was such a a great mechanism, printed well and perfectly solved a problem I was having. Great stuff!

I really like this idea, not because is gorgeus but it’s a real little stem project

unfortunately at the moment it is too big for my plate, but I will remedy asap.
It would be nice to improve on the project

I love this thread. I posted some links to my favorite board games in the contest from up-and-coming creators (~100 followers) on Reddit and was downvoted into oblivion unfortunately. So I’ll post them here:

GRAVITY GAMBIT by IQELIX

Balance Game by ARTIGIANOPAZZO

Cot Cot Ridor Board Game by Piitaya

The Infernal Dish Tower Game by BluExEvo

Of course, there are also some incredibly impressive entries from well-established creators. It’s amazing to see the variety and creativity coming from all corners of our community!

That keyboard is really cool! I’m curious to try that one.

I’ve gotta check out the game contest. I was thinking of working on something for it. There’s a board game I got, that I dislike the actual gameplay of, but I like all the mini figures. I designed a new game around those mini figures, and I keep needing to think I need to finalize and make it a reality!

It’s awesome the amount of real world products, like you’d find on the shelf, that there’s starting to be. There’s complaints about the flood of hogwash, but there’s defiantly some great stuff in there too.

Cool game by a maker just starting out and trying to get some traction. They are starting a series of pocket-sized games called “Games On the Move”. Their Scrambl’d game is really a neat little word making game. They also have mini cribbage and are working on a couple other games including a mini version of Aggravation. Send them some love…

Not sure if this is allowed or off topic but I’d think it is definitely a “hidden gem” it’s my own original model that makes life a lot easier for those with the AMS lite and especially for those with the AMS light enclosure. It’s a tool to help remove spools because as we all know some spools can be VERY hard to get off.

While it’s cool and useful, I think the spirit of this thread is not self-promotion but promotion of creations of others. For self-promotion you should check out Share your prints

Check this out! No print profile though. I wonder how well the model is; if it’d be worth it for one of us to put a print profile together.

Canmaxfire has some incredible models really deserving of more attention. Based on his description, maybe they are more popular on makerworld china?
