High Flow Nozzle on Aux

I just got my new X2D. Before this I have only had A1’s (for bambu printers). My question is, is it worth the $50~ to get a high flow nozzle for the aux nozzle? When I bought the printer I got a .4 and .6 high flow for the main extruder but only got a regular .6 for the aux. Will it make any difference in time to spring for the high flow on the aux as well?

I know printing with a support material (PLA for PETG Prints, ect) is going to make the print take longer. I am good with that. But if I can shorten that time up some with the high flow then I will. Just don’t want to spend the money if it’s not going to help on that aux side. Thanks!

no, you will not shorten the time with highflow nozzle on the right…you are not even using 50% of the regular nozzle flow ability.

The real issue is that the finish is not as good as the main head so it depends on what time of finish you expect from the aux nozzle.

Thank you both. I am only using it for support material so far and it is working very well. I just wasnt sure if the high flow would be worth it or not.

I did notice when I changed to the high flow on the main nozzle, even changing it in bambu studio, it didn’t change print time at all. When I went through the bambu academy for the X2D I found the flow rate difference and had to manually adjust the filament volumetric flow. That’s where I got the big difference in print speed. I guess I could bump up the PLA on the aux nozzle some and see how it does.
