I won’t turn off all the fans—that would lead to clogs at best, or worse problems.
I discovered that, for me, the loudest noise was coming from the chamber fan. So, I modified the printer’s start GCODE to lower the fan speed to about 50%.
I replaced this line:

with this:

M106 P3 S120
This reduced the noise a bit, but didn’t eliminate it entirely.
In my experience, if you want to print fast, you’re going to have noise, no matter what you do.
I am also a new user. I had a Flash Forge Creator Max. The X1C is Waaaaaay quieter. I cannot hear it when I am not in the room where it is located. Mine is sitting on a solid wood desk that is buffered with a 3/4 inch piece of plywood that has a layer of felt to allow me to rotate the unit to access the rear of it.
