High temperature reusable spool is the same price as the regular spool

The Bambu High Temperature Reusable Spool is the same price as the regular Bambu Reusable Spool.
Is there any advantage to getting the regular spool?

Well, do you have high temp filament that needs to be dried around 80c?
You can use either for pla, petg, tpu. ABS, ASA and exotic I’d just use the high temp

I can’t think of a single advantage if the price is the same for going with the regular spool. I can think of many disadvantages of trying to use a high temp filament on a non-high temp spool, to begin with… drying the filament in an oven.

One of my less proud moments pictured below. A spool of PETG dried using a printer bed set at 80C. Why 80C? Well because if 70C is great, 80C must be better… right??? :joy:

The only thing I found confusing was the description of the high temp spool says “Filament Compatibility: ABS, ASA, PA6-GF, ABS-GF, PAHT-CF, PET-CF, PA6-CF, PC, TPU”. Which made me wonder if the dimensions were different and wasn’t compatible with PLA PETG refills.

That’s weird. On the Canadian store compatibility for High temp spool materials includes PLA and PETG. it says : PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PA6-GF, ABS-GF, PAHT-CF, PET-CF, PA6-CF, PC, TPU 95A HF
