HIPS printed on A1

I finally got HIPS to print properly on the A1 without it detaching from the build plate. Instead of the stock textured PEI plate, I used a smooth PEI plate (3rd party but Bambu’s should work) and bumped the profile to 100C on the build plate. I couldn’t get it to stick even at the max 100C on the textured plate. But the smooth one worked.
I’m not sure why the stock “Generic HIPS” filament profile sets the build plate to 70C, which is way too low for HIPS.
Note: my ambient temperature is ~30C in an equatorial country

If you allow me the question: what type of objects are you printing with the HIPS and which material properties are important for them?

Cheers!

i have printed a cube with abs on the a1

I use it to print miniature bases. As the name suggests, it’s more impact resistant. And it allows the use of miniature cement instead of having to use CA glue, to glue minis to the bases. PETG would probably have been fine as well, but I wanted to test out HIPS

Hey, do you mind sharing your profile?
I can’t seem to get HIPS to print even a simple cube properly.
Are you using it as support material?

You can check the issue I’m having here.

I am using the default “Generic HIPS” profile in OrcaSlicer, except the print bed is bumped up to 100C, I’ve actually lowered it to 80C with success on the smooth PEI print bed
