My printer has been working perfectly for the first few days of use. However, today I ran into this error message with the hotend cooling fan. The fan is not obstructed at all from what I can tell. I can feel and hear it running. I even tried compressed air on it. I also took a part the tool head and reseated the connectors to make sure that wasn’t the problem, but the error message still persists. Is there any solutions that I haven’t tried?
Search the forum on this code. There are at least a half dozen posts on this topic and possible causes with workarounds.
I’ve explored the threads and from what I saw the solutions were to make sure the connections are correct and check for debris in the fan. Do you think its just a faulty fan that needs to be replaced?
That may be the case but I went down this rabbit hole and after over $125 worth of parts and essentially rebuilding the entire toolhead, the problem repeatedly come backs. Bambu was no help but they were sure glad to take my money.
The specific post I was referring to all appeared to have been removed by Bambu. I know because many of them I posted and they are gone. There is one similar post that still stands that may give you some troubleshooting ideas before spending money. Try some of those out first and then, yes, buy a replacement fan since that is the cheapest diagnostic step, but be prepared to go down the rabbit hole I did.
