HMS_0300_0300 The speed of the hotend fan is too slow or stopped

Hi All,
After removing the extruder to fix a clog, I am now getting this error. Where is the hotend fan located? I thought the Wiki was a little vague. Any ideas on how to resolve? Thanks!

I faced this too . In my case the hotend fan cable was damaged. If you have a spare hotend fan , try swapping it out to see if the new fan fixes the issue. Good luck.

Hotend fan is attached with two screws to the hotend assembly nozzle (heater, thermistor and fan).

Oh, I see it now. Thank you very much.

Hi All, I am at my wit’s end. I was receiving the error message:
“HMS_0300_0300_0001_0001 The speed of the hotend fan is too slow or stopped.” I replaced the complete hotend assembly (so a new hotend fan). I get the same error message (HMS_0300_0300_0001_0001) on the printer display panel. Attached is a pic so you can see the wiring. I have replaced the extruder (with the sensor) due to another issue and now the complete hot end. If I try to print, I get the following message from Bamboo Studio: "The nozzle fan speed is abnormal. [0300 8010 19:02:43]. I don’t know what else to do. I am following up with customer support. I hope they don’t tell me to replace a circuit board. Please help! Thanks. -Steven

One additional thought - I am wondering if it could be the Extruder Connection Board. Maybe I broke/bent a pin or something. Thoughts?

SOLUTION: It turned out to be the large fan on the Front Housing Assembly all along. I replaced the Front Housing Assembly with a new one, and everything is working fine. Thanks to this community for all your suggestions and input.

I just got this error after Numouros extruder clogging.

I dont know, if you already resolved the issue with the fan.
I had same thing happened to me.
After uncloging my hot end, i was getting same error.
0300 0300 0001 0001.

Long story short.
Your fan is not plugged is correctly.
Connector will allow to plug in one pin row lower.
Good luck.

Hi,
I have the same problem,I left the printer on overnight for a 7-hour and 50-minute project, and when I woke up in the morning, I saw that it wasn’t finished. The printer had stopped continuing the process because that small fan wasn’t spinning anymore unless I manually nudge it a bit, but then it stops again. The error messages are first , The hotend cooling fan speed is abnormal” , and then when it stops I got this , The hotend cooling fan speed is too low or stopped. It may be stuck or the connector may not be plugged in properly.”
Does anyone know what can I do? I forgot to say that the printer is new, I got it yesterday so after the first day of usage I already got this problem.

Get support ticket they will send you new hotend assembly, or just buy a new fan from aliexpress or amazon.

I had the same problem, went for the former solution. I took me about 5-6 weeks going back and forth with support. They sent me a display and tool head pcb first which obviously didn’t solve the problem. Yeah, I had to disassembly the tool head, install new pcb then take picture to prove that it didn’t solve the fan problem. The second time, they sent a complete hotend. Almost 2 months down time for a simple AU$8 fan.

If I bought just the fan from aliexpress, it would be 1-2 weeks shipping time and around AU$15 shipped.

So, if I buy only the hotend fan, it will solve the problem?

Your case sounds like mine, fan dies within the first week. So yes, high chance it is a faulty fan.

But I am an electronic engineer and I have the test equipment to identify the problem accurately for my printer. Can’t really assure 100% for your case.

Thank you so much bro  , I will try to change the hotend fan

i had the same error after a spagethi failed print, i removed the fan cover and noticed a super thin stringy piece of filament, which i pulled out and de error was gone

i think the cable for the hotend fan was probably not all the way in or plugged in wrong. Can you try this again? Also, did you touch or stop the hotend fan with your finger or hand while it was running or trying to start? Sometimes, this will cause them to act up.
