HMS Code 07FF-7000-0002-0003

image
This is the HMS notification on the Panda Touch (have already submitted an issue on GitHub). Strangely, nothing appears on the printer screen when this happens. The HMS code appears whenever loading filament.
Additionally, this HMS code is not listed on Bambu Lab’s HMS code list (the closest is 0700-7000-0002-0003 which seems to be about inconsistent extrusion).
Firmware:
Panda Touch - 1.0.6.3
P1S - 1.07.00.00
Any help appreciated!

Do you have a AMS? i have had the same error and it turned out that i needed to unplug the AMS plug on the back of the printer (the AMS doesnt like TPU and used the external spool holder because of it), it solved the problem for me.

No, I don’t have an AMS yet. I am using the PolyLite PLA preset on the external spool holder, just changing PLA color

I know i wil be asking a rather obvious question here but did you contact tech support from bambu lab itself?
Aside from that i am out of ideas.

All I could find is another person on Reddit who had the same error. Unfortunately no solutions there either. Someone said they thought it was the filament sensor. When you put the external roll on are you pushing the filament all the way to where the extruder can grab it?

Yes i press it in, lightly but when i load a spool i keep pressing it lightly until it extrudes filament after i pressed the “load filament” option.

not sure if it will help though, considering i only use the exterior for TPU and found that it has trouble loading it on it self in the beginning

Ohhh, gotcha. Did you open a ticket with that error code? If they can tell us exactly what it is we could know where to go from there. I wish every code was listed on the Wiki.

Yes, I can feel the extruder gear grabbing the filament, but right before the “Is the filament extruding” message pops up the HMS code appears

I think I’ll open a ticket today, and see if they respond.

Huh.

I’ll do what they say and hopefully it’ll get resolved soon.

Sounds like a plan. It does sound like maybe the filament sensor. If that’s all it is and they send you a replacement it’s a pretty easy swap.

I did ask for them to add it to the HMS code list, so we’ll see how that goes. In the meantime, I’ll work on uploading the logs and try getting a video.

I had this today. It was caused by the filament being trapped on the spool and therefore not being fed into the printer. Check its freely able to be unwind.

Issue seems to have been resolved after installing the AMS??? They still haven’t responded to my request for adding it to the HMS error code list however

Awesome! So it must have to had something to do with the filament getting pushed in to the extruder? With the AMS it’s pushed until it’s pulled… then it’s pushed and pulled lol. One good thing, even if they don’t add it to the list if people search for it it’ll pull up this thread and give them some more info.
