Homing of Z-Axis failed on my A1

Did you solve the problem by replacing the nozzle?

Hold the z axis down button on the touch screen even after the (home cancel) dialog pops up. I checked everything on my A1 trying to solve my error and then I found this on some other thread and after much frustration it was this easy fix. the dialog box covers the down arrow so just donā€™t let go when it pops up and the head will continue down. afterwards all my axis passed homing and im back to printing.

Please help me. I have the exact same issue you had, but replacing the hotend didnā€™t solve it. Did you replace the entire housing too or just the nozzle? Iā€™ve tried so many things to get it to print. :frowning:

Hi, the small cable from the sensor behind the nozzle was broken. I changed the complete hotend assembly, because Bambu did not offer the sensor as a spare part.

Thank you for replying! I checked mine, and Iā€™m not sure if mine is broken or not. Iā€™ll attach a screenshot. Itā€™s so frustrating that I cannot print. Ugh!

finally got mine fixed
went through replacing the bed because of the broken sensor but wasnt the homing fault cause
replaced the extruder unit due to a possibly faulty eddy current sensor. worked perfectly after that

I got the z axis homing failure after changing out the hotend fan on my A1 mini. The plastic had melted around it and it just looked ugly, but still functioned. Tried all the suggestions on here but nothing worked. When I removed the nozzle a gold wire that was wrapped came out. Anyone have any idea what that is? I opened a ticket with support but may just go ahead and order a new hotend assembly.

I had the same problem and saw that I had wrongly positioned the magnetic plate, so the poop cleaner of my A1 mini was being forced against the magnetic plate and causing the error.

Thanks, @Venom. That solved the problem for me.

I am having a similar issue my printed is able to move the z axis but not down and it keeps telling me that the extrusion sensor pressure is not normal or something like that. I checked the 2 back wires for the extrusion pressure sensor I switched the two wires back and forth but still got the same issues and the z axis is going up but not down . it is very annoying i havenā€™t submitted a ticket yet. i donā€™t get it my 3d printer has about 700 h of printing an had never had an issues.

Same .it happened to me the silicon or something brown melted on to my hot end but it didnā€™t broke it. And then my print didnā€™t stick to the build plate and formed a clump around my hotend. When I took out the clump it ripped the plastic with it so I guess i had luck while having bad luckšŸ˜….

I have been having the same problem and Iā€™ve tried all of the solutions that I found with no result, could any of you give me some tips into fixing my Z- Axis?

Also my printer is fresh out of the box.

Fixed! I removed the screws around the Z axis holders. A step that I didnā€™t see in the in the instructions.

Man thatā€™s wild. How do you unbox this and not even bother to read the assembly instructions. I get you were excited probably but damn. It s literally 10 pages
